Zusammenfassung:	A liquid crystal display device comprises: a first display panel and a second display panel, which are overlapping each other; and a backlight disposed on rear surface sides of the first display panel and the second display panel. The backlight irradiates the first display panel and the second display panel with light beams in a plurality of colors while sequentially switching the light beams. Each of the first display panel and the second display panel includes a plurality of pixels. An area of the pixel included in the first display panel is smaller than an area of the pixel included in the second display panel.
