Zusammenfassung:	A computer-implemented method includes sending a broadcast over a network requesting a response from other host computers on the network that are also communicatively paired with the input device, receiving a broadcasted response from a second host computer on the network indicating that it is communicatively paired with the input device, establishing a communicative connection with the second host computer via the network and automatically reestablishing the connection with the second host computer when the second host computer disconnects and reconnects to the network. In response to an edge-detect event, sending a control signal to switch the communicative pairing of the input device from the first host computer to the second host computer.
