Zusammenfassung:	A display device includes a display member which displays an image and a light source which provides light to the display member. The display member includes a base substrate including a front surface, a rear surface, and a plurality of side surfaces which connects the front surface to the rear surface, where the base substrate receives the light through a side surface of the side surfaces and has a first refractive index, a low refractive layer disposed on the front surface and having a second refractive index less than the first refractive index, and an array layer disposed on the low refractive layer and including at least one thin film transistor. The low refractive layer has a predetermined thickness, which is greater than a penetration depth of the light in the low refractive layer.
