Zusammenfassung:	A discrete-type imaging device includes a camera head and a camera control unit, and video shot by the camera head is transmitted to the camera control unit via a plurality of transmission lines. A temperature sensor measures a temperature of the camera head. A high-temperature control unit determines whether the temperature measured exceeds a predetermined threshold value. A signal processing unit reduces a number of lines used in the plurality of transmission lines when the temperature measured exceeds the predetermined threshold value and transmits video data accordingly.
