PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which is excellent in high charging property, charge stability, low temperature fixability, and obtains high reliability in cleaning.SOLUTION: There is provided a toner containing a polyester resin, where fluorine and aluminum are contained in the toner, and when an area (A) where the fluorine atoms are distributed and an area (B) where the aluminum atoms are distributed in the toner are measured by energy dispersion type X-ray analysis (EDS), the area (A) where the fluorine atoms are distributed, the area (B) where the aluminum atoms are distributed and an area (AB) of a portion where the distribution of the fluorine atoms and the distribution of the aluminum atoms overlap each other satisfy conditions represented by formula (1): 1.00≥AB/B≥0.50 and (2): 0≤(A-AB)/A≤0.25.SELECTED DRAWING: None
