Zusammenfassung:Copolymers of PEEK and PEEK/PEK and methods of preparation thereof are provided. The melt temperatures of the PEEK copolymer and PEEK/PEK copolymer compositions are in the range of 350° C. to 420° C. The compositions are based on PEEK monomers biphenol and 4,4′-difluorobenzophenone with other PEEK co-monomers such as hydroquinone and PEK co-monomers such as 4-chloro-4′-hydroxybenzophenone, 4,4′-difluorobenzophenone and 4,4′-dihydroxybenzophenone.
