A determination unit determines whether the information processing device is in a state suitable for executing the application program. A management unit updates a usage state of a trial license of the application program in a case where the determination unit has determined that the information processing device is in a state suitable for operating a user interface unit. The management unit stops updating the usage state of the trial license of the application program in a case where the management unit has determined that the information processing device is not in a state suitable for executing the application program.
