Zusammenfassung:	An automatic transaction device, that communicates with a host computer and executes various types of transaction processings, includes: a media insert port into which media are inserted; a conveying section that conveys media, that have been inserted in the media insert port, from the media insert port to predetermined places; a discriminating section that identifies whether a conveyed medium is a bill or is a transaction medium, and, when the medium is identified to be a bill, recognizes a denomination thereof, and, on the other hand, when the medium is identified to be a transaction medium, recognizes stated contents thereof; and a control section that executes a transaction processing on the basis of the stated contents that the discriminating section recognized.
