The ultrasonic diagnostic device includes a plurality of ultrasonic probes, and a selection unit 82 that performs a selecting function according to a program so as to select the most frequently used ultrasonic probe based on information on the frequency of use of the ultrasonic probes, the information being specified by information on a use situation of the ultrasonic diagnostic device. The information on the frequency of use is created by the information creation unit 81. The information on the frequency of use may be created for each subject, each operator, or each test type.
