Zusammenfassung:	The present invention is a retaining device, wherein a pedestal part is attached to a vehicle. The retaining part has a turning shaft part and a loading part. A main body turnably supports the turning shaft part. An outward-jutting part is provided on the main body and is designed to be secured to the bottom part of the pedestal part. A locking part is provided on the main body. A part to be locked is locked to the locking part. The locking part and the outward-jutting part are provided so as to sandwich the turning shaft part, and receive the load applied to the loading part.
