Zusammenfassung:A solar cell has: a crystal substrate having an n-type semiconductor layer that is formed on a light receiving surface; and a p-type semiconductor layer that is formed on a rear surface. The semiconductor layers cover a part of a side surface of the substrate, the thickness of the n-type semiconductor layer on the side surface, said thickness being in the normal line direction of the n-type semiconductor layer, is less than the thickness of the n-type semiconductor layer on the light receiving surface, said thickness being in the normal line direction of the n-type semiconductor layer, and the thickness of the p-type semiconductor layer on the side surface, said thickness being in the normal line direction of the p-type semiconductor layer, is less than the thickness of the p-type semiconductor layer on the rear surface, said thickness being in the normal line direction of the p-type semiconductor layer.
