Zusammenfassung:	The embodiments relate to a method of operation for load management of an installation and to an associated equipment agent. The equipment agent for at least one piece of equipment within an installation includes an interface for obtaining information pertaining to the type and number of the pending tasks of at least one piece of equipment associated with the equipment agent, an interface for obtaining information pertaining to the resource consumption of the at least one associated piece of equipment in different operating states, and a communicator for interchanging the obtained information with other equipment agents and/or components of the installation in order to provide a forecast pertaining to the power draw of the at least one associated piece of equipment for conflation thereof with further forecasts from the other equipment agents and/or the components to produce a total load profile for installation in connection with a load management.
