Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a method to elicit resistance in a living plant or in a harvested plant part to a disease caused by fungal pathogens, wherein the method comprises exposing a plant or a plant part to an essential oil vapor containing cineole. The present invention also relates to a package for a plant or a plant part containing essential oil comprising cineole, wherein the essential oil turns into a vapor form within the package and further to a composition comprising a solution or an atomized spray containing an essential oil.
