Zusammenfassung:	An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a liquid crystal display including: a first substrate; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a pixel electrode disposed on the first substrate; a common electrode disposed on the first substrate or the second substrate; a first alignment layer disposed on the first substrate, and including a first additive; a second alignment layer disposed on the second substrate, and including a second additive; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein each of the first additive and the second additive contains different compounds from each other and represented by the following Chemical Formula 1, and wherein a molecular weight of the second additive is greater than that of the first additive: P-Q-R-S-R-Q-P [Chemical Formula 1] wherein P, Q, R, and S are the same as described in the detailed description section of the present specification.
