Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	A system and method for automatically adjusting the height of a patient support table based upon a sensed height of a patient. The system includes a patient height sensing device that is positioned to determine the height of a patient. The determined height of the patient is relayed to a controller that calculates a desired patient loading height for the support surface of the table. The controller activates a lift assembly to move the support surface of the support table to the desired patient loading height. Once the patient is positioned on the support table, the controller moves the support, table to a medical procedure height and the medical scanning procedure is carried out. After the procedure is complete, the support table is returned to the desired patient loading height for unloading the patient.
