Zusammenfassung:	An oil separator includes a case and introduces blow-by gas of an internal combustion engine into the case. The oil separator then separates oil from the blow-by gas and discharges the separated oil from the case. The case incorporates electrode plates, which are arranged at intervals and face each other. A filter is arranged between any adjacent two of the electrode plates. The filter is formed of fibers, which are made of an electrically insulating first material, or polyester. A potential difference is created between the electrode plates.
