Zusammenfassung:	An endoscope apparatus includes a first optical system, a second optical system, a light-blocking shutter, a magnet rotor, drive coils, detection coils, and a CPU, the CPU performs control to provide direct current to the drive coils and control to provide alternating current to the detection coils, and where the alternating current is provided to the detection coils, the CPU detects a pivotal position of the light-blocking shutter by detecting variation of an inductance when a magnetic field generated in each of hollow portions of the detection coils is blocked by a magnetic body, from a value of the alternating current.
