An imaging device includes an optical filter, an image sensor, a multi-band estimation section, and a processor including hardware. The optical filter divides the pupil of an imaging optics into a first pupil and a second pupil that differs in wavelength passband from the first pupil. The image sensor includes a first-color filter that has first transmittance characteristics, a second-color filter that has second transmittance characteristics, and a third-color filter that has third transmittance characteristics. The processor is configured to implement a multi-band estimation process that estimates component values that respectively correspond to first to fourth bands based on pixel values that respectively correspond to first to third colors that form an image captured by the image sensor, the first to fourth bands being set based on the wavelength passbands of the first pupil and the second pupil, and the first to third transmittance characteristics.
