Zusammenfassung:	A rim of the steering wheel includes a core member, a cladding layer mounted around the core member, a decorative garnish which covers an outer circumference of the rim, and a mounting base on which the decorative garnish is mounted. The decorative garnish includes a decorative region covering the outer circumference of the rim, a positioning projection which protrudes out of the back surface of the decorative region for positioning against the mounting base, and a rib which protrudes out of the back surface of the decorative region in a vicinity of a root region of the positioning projection. The mounting base includes an insert recess for receiving the positioning projection. The cladding layer is disposed in an entire inner circumference of the insert recess and at an abutment seat against which the rib abut when the positioning projection is inserted into the insert recess.
