Zusammenfassung:A solar cell including at least a substrate, a cathode, a hole conductive layer, a bulk heterojunction photoactive layer of a blend of a donor material and an acceptor material, an electron conductive layer and an anode, wherein the blend includes at least one photoactive material including a conjugated backbone system having: i) the general formula R2-imide-Ar-L-Ar-imide-R3, wherein Ar-L-Ar is a conjugated chromophore imide is imide -OCNCO- R2 and R3 are organic groups, bonded to the N atom of the respective imide and forming a conjugated bond with the respective imide; or. ii) repeating units (R4-imide-Ar-L-Ar-imide)n, wherein Ar-L-Ar is a conjugated chromophore imide is imide -OCNCO- R4 is an organic group bonded to the N atom of the respective imide and forming a conjugated bond with the respective imide and n is the number of repeating units.
