LIGHT EMITTING MODULE

A light emitting module includes: a semiconductor light emitting element that emits light of a first color; a wavelength conversion layer that subjects at least a portion of the light of the first color to wavelength conversion and emits light of a second color; and a diffusing layer that diffuses at least one of the light of the first color and the light of the second color. The diffusing layer includes a matrix and a diffusing member distributed in the matrix. The wavelength conversion layer includes a wavelength conversion substance. A difference between a refractive index of the wavelength conversion layer and a refractive index of the matrix is 0.3 or less, and a difference between a refractive index of the matrix and a refractive index of the diffusing member is 0.05 or more.
