Zusammenfassung:	A medical instrument for carrying out a percutaneous intervention in a patient is provided with a marker that is visible in an MR image. A real-time magnetic resonance image of the patient is created, so that the actual position of the marker can be identified in the real-time image. For assisting a person in the positioning of the medical instrument in an initial position suitable for the intervention, a desired position of the marker that correlates with the initial position is displayed in the real-time image. The positioning thus can be carried out relatively effortlessly and quickly.
