Zusammenfassung:	Technologies for implementing an IOT medication device for use in the home of a patient are described herein. The IOT medication device comprises a controller, at least one near-field communication ("NFC") transceiver, and one or more displays. The NFC transceiver is operably connected to the controller and configured to read data from an NFC tag attached to a medication container placed in proximity to the transceiver. The controller can then display information related to a medication contained in the medication container on the one or more displays.
