In accordance with one aspect of the framework, data is modeled into business-oriented data, wherein the data utilizes flat-table data modules. A subset is selected from the business-oriented data, and a dataset may be retrieved based on the subset. The retrieved dataset may be converted into structured query language (SQL) expression, which is then used to report the dataset.
