Zusammenfassung:Approaches are disclosed for operating a self service terminal, such as an automatic teller machine, as a virtual teller in a branch office. A virtual teller terminal is connected to a secure banking network at a bank branch office and a virtual teller account is established between the automatic teller machine and a branch server operating the branch office. The virtual teller account is used by the automatic teller machine to process customer requests received by the automatic teller machine.
