The invention relates to a press roller for a roller press, in particular for briquetting, compacting or grinding granular material, having a roller core (1) and a coolable casing (2) fastened to the roller core (1), wherein a plurality of cooling ducts (6), which are distributed over the circumference and extend in an axially parallel manner, are arranged in the casing (2) beneath the casing surface, said cooling ducts (6) being connected to an axial central duct (8) in the roller core (1) via radially extending inlet and outlet ducts (7), wherein at least two distributor rings (10) that are each connected at their ends to the casing (2) are arranged on the roller core (1), annular ducts (11) that extend in the circumferential direction being arranged in said distributor rings (10), said annular ducts (11) being connected at one end to the radial inlet and outlet ducts (7) and at the other end to the axially parallel cooling ducts (6).
