Zusammenfassung:	A liquid crystal display includes a display substrate, an opposite substrate coupled to and facing the display substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the display substrate and the opposite substrate. The display substrate includes a gate line extending in a first direction, a data line extending in a second direction crossing the first direction, a shielding electrode disposed along the data line covering the data line, a protruding electrode extending from the shielding electrode partially covering the gate line, and a pixel electrode electrically insulated from the shielding electrode and configured to receive a signal from the gate and data lines.
