The polymeric material can for example be a diene elastomer, and the invention relates to a composition comprising a diene elastomer, a hydrolysable silane and a curing agent for the diene elastomer, and also to the use of a hydrolysable silane as a coupling agent for a diene elastomer composition containing a filler.
