Zusammenfassung:A device for treating a root canal in a tooth including a fixture piece having a lumen and a distal tip, a first electrode in communication with the lumen, and a sonic or ultrasonic energy source. The first electrode is configured to deliver electrical energy to an irrigating fluid passing through the lumen prior to discharge from the distal tip. Sonic or ultrasonic energy source is provided from the fixture piece for delivery of sonic or ultrasonic energy to the root canal. A fluid supply line or replaceable cartridge can be provided to delivery irrigating fluid to the fixture piece. A method for treatment of a root canal and kit assembly are further provided.
