Zusammenfassung:	Variable geometry columns for chromatography are disclosed that include a tube having an interior surface and an inlet end and an outlet end, a stationary phase deposited along substantially the length of the interior surface of the tube, and/or deposited on surface area-increasing members positioned within the tube. The resulting column has a gradually enlarging cross-sectional area that is narrower at the inlet end than toward the outlet end attributable to (1) the cross-section of the tube, (2) a variable deposition of the stationary phase, or (3) a combination thereof.
