Zusammenfassung:	A gas generation apparatus includes a reaction vessel and a fluid reservoir. The reaction vessel has an internal container therein for a reactant material including a solid portion and a liquid portion. The internal container has a perforated upper portion suitable for containing said solid portion of said reactant material, and a solid lower portion suitable for containing said liquid portion of said reactant material. The fluid reservoir is external to the reaction vessel, and has a variable volume fluid chamber. The fluid reservoir is in fluid connection with the reaction vessel.
