Zusammenfassung:Disclosed are fusion proteins comprising a RAGE polypeptide, wherein the RAGE polypeptide comprises a fragment of a mammalian wild type RAGE peptide and at least one point mutation in the RAGE polypeptide portion of the fusion protein relative to the wild type RAGE peptide. The point mutation may remove and/or alter a glycosylation site or an enzyme cleavage site. Also disclosed are nucleic acids encoding such proteins as well as methods of using such proteins for treating RAGE-mediated pathologies.
