Zusammenfassung:An imaging apparatus includes an imaging unit, a first information acquisition unit configured to acquire information on a focal length of a lens unit configured to guide light to the imaging unit, a second information acquisition unit configured to acquire information on an amount of light incident on the imaging unit, and a control unit configured to control a diaphragm configured to adjust the amount of light incident on the imaging unit, wherein the control unit is configured to determine a maximum opening value, which is used for diaphragm control of the diaphragm, based on the information on the focal length acquired by the first information acquisition unit and the information on the amount of incident light acquired by the second information acquisition unit.
