Zusammenfassung:	A transmission device capable of transmitting power applied to an input shaft to an output shaft while changing a speed ratio to a plurality of stages, including a single-pinion type first planetary gear mechanism; a single-pinion type second planetary gear mechanism; a third planetary gear mechanism; a case that accommodates the first, second, and third planetary gear mechanisms; first and second clutches; and first and second brakes. A first carrier of the first planetary gear mechanism and a second ring gear of the second planetary gear mechanism are coupled together through a coupling member that extends circumferentially inward from the second ring gear, and the second ring gear is coupled to a second brake hub that configures the second brake through the first carrier.
