PROVIDING CONTENT TO USERS

Various embodiments are directed to methods for targeting content based on user interests. The methods may comprise providing a graphical user interface to a first user; displaying to the first user, and through the graphical user interface, a plurality of interest categories; and receiving from the first user, an indication of a first category selected from the plurality of interest categories. Upon receiving the indication of the first category, a plurality of sub-categories of the first interest category may be displayed to the first user through the graphical user interface. The methods may further comprise receiving from the first user, an indication of at least one selected sub-category chosen from the plurality of sub-categories; selecting a first plurality of content items based on the at least one selected sub-category; and providing the first plurality of content items to the first user through the user interface.
