The pointing device has a trackball or a joystick and an axial coding unit, outputs a set of coordinate signals after sensing a movement of the trackball or joystick operated by users, and output the set of coordinate signals so as to control a television to generate a cursor on the TV screen for operation. Accordingly, the multimedia television remote control addresses a more convenient operation and increases users' willingness to operate the remote control. |
