Zusammenfassung:	A polyester resin for a toner obtained by polycondensing a carboxylic acid component and an alcohol component, wherein the polyester resin for a toner is obtained using, as the carboxylic acid component and/or the alcohol component, a specified aromatic compound; a polyester resin for a toner obtained by polycondensing a reaction product obtained by treating a specified aromatic compound with a carboxylic acid having an unsaturated reactive group, a carboxylic acid component, and an alcohol component; a resin binder for a toner, containing the polyester resin for a toner; and a toner for electrophotography, containing the resin binder. The polyester resin for a toner of the present invention is suitably used for a resin binder of a toner used in developing and the like of latent images formed in electrophotography, electrostatic recording method, electrostatic printing method or the like.
