Zusammenfassung:An electrical connector includes a body having a terminating end and a mating end. A power contact extends from the mating end of the body. The power contact is configured to be engaged by a power contact of a mating connector connected to a predominantly capacitive load. An auxiliary contact extends from the mating end of the body. The auxiliary contact is coupled in series with a resistor. The auxiliary contact configured to be engaged by an auxiliary contact of the mating connector. The auxiliary contact in series with the resistor is configured to engage the mating connector before the power contact to resist a surge current due to the capacitive load from the mating connector.
