Zusammenfassung: | Obtaining application data for applications executing on a computing device in anticipation of imminent use of the computing device. The computing device detects an occurrence of a pre-defined event on the first computing device and obtains the application data in response thereto. The application data updates applications executing on the computing device such as mail, calendar, contacts, etc. The pre-defined event includes a defined movement of the computing device (e.g., pulling the device out of pocket), the user unlocking the screen, etc. The application data may be obtained and provided to the user in several iterations in some embodiments to enhance the user experience. By waiting to obtain the application data until there is a likelihood of a possible demand for the data, the frequency of updates is reduced thus extending battery life of the computing device. |
