Zusammenfassung:A negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery includes a current collector and a negative electrode active material layer supported on a surface of the current collector. The negative electrode active material layer includes a plurality of granular particles that include an alloyable active material. The granular particles are supported on a region of the current collector excluding a peripheral region that has a width of 20 μm to 500 μm from the edge thereof.
