Zusammenfassung:	A package for protecting sterile items for medical use and including an adhesive wound dressing as a part of the package. The package may be constructed as a pair of interconnected sheets of flexible material that can be torn apart to open the package and release items contained within. A layer of adhesive material is provided on an inner face of at least one of the sheets of flexible material, protected by a release sheet that can be removed to expose the adhesive, so that the sheet of flexible material can be used as an adhesive dressing.
