Zusammenfassung:	A vehicle exhaust system includes a thermoelectric generator that uses a plurality of thermoelectric modules to convert thermal energy generated by hot exhaust gases to electric energy. The thermoelectric generator has an inlet associated with an upstream exhaust component and an outlet associated with a downstream exhaust component. The thermoelectric generator diverts exhaust gas flow from a vehicle exhaust system main-flow direction to a cross-flow direction that is non-parallel to the main-flow direction when flowing from the inlet to the outlet of the thermoelectric generator.
