The method includes (1) detecting a location of an object of interest with a plurality of object sensors each having a corresponding object field of view; and (2) selecting at least one illumination light source to project one or more illumination patterns in one or more predetermined directions at least based upon the location of the object determined with the plurality of object sensors.
