Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to an insect- and mite-repelling agent, characterized by a content of at least one substituted, enantiomer-enriched α-,ω-amino alcohol derivative of formula (1) wherein X represents hydrogen, COR11 or R13, R13 represents C1-C6 alkyl, R1 represents C1-C7 alkyl, C3-C7alkenyl or C2-C7 alkinyl, R2 R11, R13 are identical or different and represent C1-C6 alkyl or C2-C7 alkenyl, R3-R8 are identical or different and represent hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, wherein R2 and R3 or R3 and R7 or R3 and R5 or R5 and R7 can also form, together with the atoms to which they are bonded, a 5- or 6-membered monocycle ring. Also disclosed is a method for producing said agent.
