Zusammenfassung:A NAND type flash memory having a program verifying function is provided, which can search for stored data at high speed. The flash memory reads search data that corresponds to stored data stored in a block in a front page of the block in a reverse-order search mode, compares the search data with the non-search data from a controller, and returns a block address and a page address of the search data that matches with the non-search data to the controller. At this time, the flash memory checks the match between the search data and the non-search data by comparing "0" data using the program verifying function provided in the flash memory itself.
