Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to the production of organophosphorus compounds, in particular 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO) or derivatives thereof which have been known for many years in prior art. They are used preferably as additives for polymers. In particular the use of DOPO and derivatives thereof as flame retardants for polymers, such as e.g. polyesters, polyamides, epoxy resins, has proved to be advantageous.
