Zusammenfassung:A cellular communication network is described wherein the power of the pilot channel transmitted by the base station is decreased when the uplink interference in its cell area increases above a threshold value. As a result the mobile terminals at the edge of the cell area are triggered to reselect to another base station and the number of call drops and failed call set-ups is reduced.
