Zusammenfassung:A user interface method for inputting characters and a mobile terminal using the same are disclosed. The user interface method includes: displaying a user interface including a magnified portion and a real time selected character display region of a virtual keypad on a display screen of a display module equipped with a touch/proximity sensor; displaying a character selected from the virtual keypad in real time on the real time selected character display region and storing the selected character in a memory; and reading a character string inputted so far from the memory when a certain time lapses or in response to a certain key input, and displaying a preview screen image including the character string on the display screen.
