Zusammenfassung:	A system for detecting and locating water in a sandwich-type structure for aircrafts, the system including means for heating the water contained in an intermediate layer of the sandwich-type structure, and means for recording at least one image of a surface of the sandwich-type structure, the image showing particular regions of the surface, corresponding to the presence of water in the intermediate layer. The means for heating the water include a device for emitting microwaves inside the sandwich-type structure, at a frequency essentially equal to the resonance frequency of the water molecules. The invention also relates to a method implemented by the system.
