The actuator (1) also includes a bearing (5) for a portion (45) of the chain (4), said bearing being mounted so as to be capable of free translation along an axis (X2) perpendicular to rotation axis (X3) of the sprocket (3) and being provided with means (6) for interaction with the chain so that the translation movement of the bearing along the axis (X2) is due to the chain (4) being driven by the sprocket (3).
